Dr. Kathy Seramur graduated with her bachelor’s degrees in Biological Science in 2010 from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She then attended the Royal Veterinary College in London, England for 5 years before graduating in 2015. She had dreamed of living in England and becoming a veterinarian was a life long goal for her. Being able to study abroad allowed her to accomplish both dreams together. Through the program in London, Dr. Seramur gained a lot of hands on experiences with animals of all shapes and sizes. Her studies have also shown her the importance of always learning new treatments and techniques to stay up to date with new research.
After moving back to the US, Dr. Seramur worked in an emergency clinic for some time and since then has worked at a few small animal clinics. This has allowed her to see many different techniques and treatments for all kinds of conditions seen in animals. She continues to enjoy emergency medicine but her other interests include dentistry, surgery, and internal medicine.
She recently moved back to her hometown of Elk River and is thrilled to be back in the area. While at home, Dr. Seramur likes to spend time with her dog, a Lhasa Apso mix named Toby, and her two cats, Charlie and Chloe. In her free time, she enjoys watching sports, being with family, and drawing. Dr. Seramur is eager to meet with new clients as well as their furry loved ones and forge a lasting, professional relationship.
